RETAINED PLAYERS LIST

I think this is the 3rd time i've done this this season and each time the list has got smaller and smaller. My current list has just 2 players Nathan Stanton and Billy Kee ! The rest no matter what your argument have proved they are not good enough over a long period of time,the odd game they perform to an acceptable level but that is no good to me.That includes long serving Aaron Webster who i have always stuck up for but i'm sorry mate your time is up there is no room for sentiment and young Jack Dyer who despite some reasonable performances is still not good enough at this level. He's looked better than he is because of the total dross surrounding him.
Now i also include the players on deals for next season,get rid now,pay them off after negotiation. Maghoma top of that list.
Harsh,drastic and ruthless you may think and you would be right but tell me honestly do they deserve any better than that ?
I don't feel we can take the chance on the unproven Gary Rowett either and need someone ambitious with some sort of track record at this level or Conference who can seek ot players of the required ability that are hungry ,not old has beens.
It is a very simple but effective mehod of getting this club back on track to recover from the 3 years mis-management we have suffered since the loss of Nigel Clough. We have not moved forward since then and need to do so now before it is too late. It may mean we won't be as profitable for a season but so be it to recover lost ground.
We need to believe in our club again,have pride in it and some decent football to watch with commited players doing their best.
I don't think that is much to ask for, more like the bare minimum.
