overexaggeration or fan power at its best?

I've not posted on here since October but end up reading pretty much every day, but one theme I've noticed is that us, the fans don't know whether to blame the players of Coyle.

The "performances" put in by Eagles and co recently haven't been worthy of a conference team, let alone a premiership club. So why should us fans put up with it? I've had a season ticket for the past 9 years, four of which have been whilst at Uni in Hull, making the trip back for the majority of games which has put a serious strain on my wallet, and after another arduous trip this Saturday gone, I'm starting to fear the worst. There was no excitement in it for me, more of a lacklustre responsibility to actually be there. When I saw Klasnic about to come on I came close to leaving a game early for the first time in almost a decade. But to blame Coyle is a bit far I feel. Yes, his transfer dealings leave a lot to be desired, and I'm yet to see the benefits of his (in)famous motivational skills, but surely the players should take some of the heat.
Eagles is the worst offender for me, a man so confident in his own ability that he refused to go on loan whilst at Man Utd, yet has achieved so little. Beckham spent time at Preston in his early career so what would ever give Eagles the impression that he's better than DB I've no idea.
It wouldn't be too hard to take if we do eventually go down, if we at least looked like we were bothered about it. The majority of the players seem to look uninterested or shy away from the fight. I must admit, Wheater, Petrov, and Reo appear to be feeling our pain, or at least trying to rectify it but the rest of the squad...
Which brings me to this

a bit overboard or just what some of our players could do with?

Does saying it twice make it more true? Or were you just über keen to get your point across?

Just yanking yer chain...

They should have made them take their pants off. That would've been funnier.

Or even better, make 'em drop 'em round their ankles so they had to waddle off like useless football-penguins.

Agree with most your points.

But I think Eagles was actually quite good on saturday - first half at least. He was signed as a back up to CYL and think he's good to have as a squad player. Took his finish very well as well, a lot easier than it looks.
