In anticipation of potentially one of the most important games of the season (if not the decade), I've just checked the Sky Sports schedule for tomorrow night, only to discover they're not showing it live !
Can you believe it?
They're showing some southern team playing a bunch of foreigners in some cup semi-final or something.
I mean, it's not even the final !
Come on Sky. You've got 24 hours to sort this. The people of Britain want to watch Villa v Bolton, not some meaningless game in some Mickey Mouse cup.
Flippin' Sky Sports !

Top man.
Seeing as you'll be a Villa Park watching our boys, I feel it would be remiss of me not to return the favour, so I'll watch your mob against them foreigners on me 14" black and white portable and update you on how you're doing each time you call.
What colour's you away kit and what shade of grey do you think it'll show up as in black and white? Just so I can tell who's who.
I'd hate to get it wrong and feed you duff information.
I might get it wrong and tell you you're 4-0 up when, in fact, you'd be getting hammered.
Phew, imagine that........And you've got my phone number now, so I can't afford to make that mistake.

We are playing in all white tonight a'la Real Madrid apparently..so that should be easy enough
I have some questions about these crackers are they
1) from a sustainable source
2) no child labour has been used
3) got one of them little tractor logo's on the packet
I know my rights as a consumer

All white a la Real Madrid, eh...?
So that'll be a pale, dull grey then. Sorted.
Now, regarding the crackers :
Frankly sir, I feel a little affronted by your questioning tone and if you're not careful my (more than gracious offer) will be off the table quicker than that Abramovich bloke changes his managers....
To allay your concerns and hopefully avoid our agreement faltering, I will answer your qustions thusly :
1) When we made them we had loads of flour and stuff left over, so I think there's no real concerns on the sustainability front.
2) No children were harmed during the manufacturing process, although I did knock a scouse kid off his bike on my way home from work. (The bakery's in Liverpool.)
It wasn't my fault and he shouldn't have been trying to divest me of my hub-caps whilst my car was actually moving. Cheeky blighter.
3) There's no red tractor logo on the packet, but you have my personal assurance that these crackers are of the highest standard and Big Trev in the QA department says they're "the mutt's nuts."
And as he breeds Pit Bulls, he know's what he's on about.
Hope this sets your mind at rest, as I'd hate you to back out now. This inter-club cordiality and bon accord is making me feel all warm and fuzzy.
Just a quick question from me.
As you're from down south, I'm a little worried that you may start using that cockney rhyming slang stuff when you call. Any chance of a posting a crib sheet I can use, 'cause if you say something like "David Wheater's just catapulted the giraffe right over the bendy supermarket trolley", I won't have a clue if it's a good thing or not?
Cheers, mate.

Sherriff,
You taking the mick?
As you've acknowledged, what you typed there was purest Yorkshire-pudding-speak.
We are far more sophisticated than that lot over the Pennines and speak a completely different type of "Central Casting Northern."
Perhaps you should just stick to how you speak normally tonight and I'll refer to my "Jamie Oliver's Guide to Talking Like a Proper Geezer" book.

Fair do's.
Wow, I don't really use this site much - I sort of lost interest after the old 606 site closed, but having the craic today with you has been a real throwback to the old days.
Good on you, sir and all the best against Barca tonight.
Do you think 1-0 is enough of a lead to take over there?
They're going to create loads of chances and I just hope our old boy has as good a game tonight as he had in the home leg.
Good luck, mate.
