Ellgren/Spall shirts, Luis Fabiano and more

So the England 1990-92 third shirt I bought off Ebay came today and I'm extremely pleased with everything about it, serious 90's design I tell thee. But there's a serious vintage shirt shaped hole in my life still, that being a Rovers one, particularly the Ellgren/Spall Perspex numbers from any of the seasons 86-90. Now I know that you can buy the retro remakes down at Ewood but I want an actual one, does anyone know where I can source one? Answers on a postcard please (I expect no answers really, I know they're not too easy to come by.)

As for us lacking any activity in the transfer market recently, I've noticed a few articles about us after Luis Fabiano, who's apparently available for £6 million after an injury plagued spell at Sao Paulo. Another huge name that we're not going to sign because he wouldn't dream of moving here I'm sure, but hey if he wants to come (which he doesn't) I'm sure we're all for it. But seriously now, when are we going to set our sights at a realistic level? I'm not quite sure where we need to be shooting, but I think somewhere definitely below Fabiano/Adebayor but above Keane/Jerome Anderson's son. I don't know, say Papiss Cisse level?

It's nice to be linked with these big names and everything but it's about time we got our priorities right. You might be able to offer them as much as they're going to get anywhere else and more but it's not enough to move from Madrid or Sao Paulo to Blackburn. Does anyone see Fabiano as a realistic signing really? Anyway, I'm going to watch Nicole Scherzinger dance on TV because she's pretty. Really pretty.

I have an original long sleeved shirt worn by the legend that was Mr David Mail, it even has the football league badges on the arms and No. 6 on the back. I used to get asked all the time where i got it although since the release of the cheap looking perspex tops i stopped wearing it and i am also getting to old for footy tops anyway, it is now on a coat hanger on the lads bedroom wall with his other Rovers tops. To be honest i am not desparate to sell it but it would be interesting to know what the offers would be i guess, i also have Phil Jones's top from the Blackpool match last season i got it off him at the end when i just asked him whilst sparking a ciggie up and he threw it to me 100% original with felt numbers and badges not the iron on stuff. You should have seen the birds face when i got home steaming and she asked me had a bought her anything from the day out, somehow a sweaty football top was not what she really wanted

I've found myself really back into football shirts both new and old, although I'm aware they're a fashion faux pas by many people's standards. The shirt sounds great, but I fear my student overdraft, already a healthy 4 figures in the red wouldn't be able to provide you with a decent sum so you're probably best keeping hold of it unless you'll accept 10 quid and a Snickers or something.

I'll note to start asking players for their kit, I'm sure that Phil Jones shirt, considering his talent, may be worth a fair chunk in the future. Then you can buy your significant other something really nice. They do those Perspex remakes in women's sizes too you know. Worth a thought. Or not.

Ha ha ha No worries mate i understand, yeh next time you get the chance just ask the player you never know. In hindsight i should have got Phil to sign the shirt when i saw him throughout the season especially after home games, not much chance now that he has moved to united i guess.
