They played with 10 players against Barca for more than 50 minutes. But Barca were playing with 10 for more than 90 minutes. Messi was completely out of the game. He even missed a penalty. Have you seen a worse game for him? His touch was poor. His finishing was poor and passing was poor.
Chelsea will be mad if they don’t give Di Matteo the job permanently. He has taken them to the CL and FA cup finals and done well in the league. He has got something special about him. He brought the spirit back to Chelsea.
That was really incredible. I know Cheslea parked the bus but we have to give them credit. I admit I wanted to see Real v Barca in the final but it seems that Di Matteo has done something very special recently that God loves him for it. I‘m now getting worried for the Wembley showdown.
Well Done Chelsea

I cannot for the life of me understand Guardiola. Why did he go with such an attacking formation leaving three defenders back? Why did he start Cuenca?
Barcelona ended up with one defender on the pitch, Alves was playing as a winger, Mascherano was moving into midfield. I quite liked when Barcelona got the time, Busquets dropped in to make it four at the back but they were just too vulnerable to the counter attack.
Anyhow, Chelsea deserved it, they were tactically better than Barcelona over the two legs and once again showed that when there's a strong referee, Barca have problems playing against a strong and physical team.

No TOOR, sorry mate, wrong again. Barca couldn't score because they were playing against a 17-man defence. How anyone can describe that game as the best they've ever seen defies belief. jimmyTheRed

Thanks for clearing up the undisputed fact that I'm wrong there Jimmy. I hope you'll forgive me, if for reasons that don't need to be explained, I stay with my opinion that Chelsea tactically outplayed Barcelona, who have no plan B, and deserved to win the game, over the two legs.

No, no mate, please don't take offence. What P's me off is the likes of Souness going on TV saying that the game was the greatest he'd ever seen. I personally didn't find it entertaining, it was too 1-sided. Well done Chelsea, they are through to the final, they deserve it. We, as Reds, are not allowed it seems, to remind anyone of Istanbul 2005, without being accused of sour grapes. JimmyTheRed

JR if you think I am trying to ridicule Souness, as if he needed anyone to ridicule him with his comments, then please, smell the coffee. If you too think that last night was the greatest entertainment on a football field then, again, fine by me. If you also think that, just because someone has been a professional footballer, or indeed engaged in any profession, be it brain surgery, hypothermal nuclear physics, or kicking a ball in a park, that they are then entitled to monopolise opinion and will have no truck with any challenge (a confession: what exactly is a dorito

Continuing (do you sing to it, frame it, paint it?) then, again, fine by me. I'm ever so sorry that I support
Liverpool Football Club. Really, honest. All I am saying is that, for me, that teensy-weensy performance by the Reds that night in Istabul in 2005, you know, the game that no one, especially Souness, remembers, was a tad more exciting that last nights world-class performance. There, better now, pet? JimmyTheRed
