Yeah, I'd feel sorry for Newcastle if it were to happen (but not for sp uds ) but those are the rules and have been for some time now.
Anyway, we haven't won anything yet. We've still got to play either Madrid (whom it might be argued are currently superior to Barca) or Munich on their home turf.

winning the champions league is a million times harder than getting 4th in the league.

Liverpool set a new precedent and EUFA said in future, a winners place would be at the expense of the 4th placed side with that team getting one of the Europa places instead.

It'll be disappointing if we miss the CL because of this, but fair play to Chelsea if they get in this way, because its certainly doing it the hard way.

And frankly, I couldn't be too disappointed with Europa League qualification anyway

MUFC fan here. it may be the rules but I would really feel sorry for Newcastle united. will be supporting either Madrid or Munich for this singular reason..
