Martin Whitmarsh is without a doubt the greatest team boss in the history of F1, his design team gave him an unreliable slow car and he took a brave decision to make some major changes and he turned it into the second quickest car on the grid and the quickest legal car.

His magnificence did not end there, in China he saw Lewis Hamilton was struggling so changed his strategy from a 2 stopper to a 3 stopper and gave Hamilton the win.

Martin Whitmarsh's next miraculous feat was at the Spanish GP where Hamilton was stuck behind Webber and was not good enough to overtake him so he again made another Jenson Button inspired genius strategy decision to leave Hamilotn out for longer so he could jump not only Webber but also Alonso through the pits.

Martin Whitmarsh never ceases to impress with his leadership of Mclaren and it is only a matter of time until he is knighted.
