Support................

My son came home from school the other day and said ‘papa, will come and support me in my school football match next week’ of course I said ‘ sì figlio’ of course I will.

So with this in mind... I’m going to hurl abuse at any new kids playing for us, especially the older kids, afterall, we don’t need 9 year olds do we, too slow, I’ll also feel fit to shout abuse at the teacher who trains them, I pay for my son’s school kit, now where does the money go? How are the school spending it? – my wife will come with me to watch him, of course if she doesn’t agree with the way I’m ‘supporting’ my son, I’ll give her some abuse too, silly ‘deluded’ mare, how dare she suggest I turn up and watch a football team I enjoy watching, 'supporting' is all about scutinising everything you can isn't it? - complaining about new cards issued for the prefects, and the head master too, what does he do with the money? - last year he promised the parents and the kids new nets behind the goal, it's not happened 'head teacher out' he is a liar

Whats your idea of supporting?

Eh?

Actually look up his business history, he's made his millions selling failing businesses that he got into masses of debt.

There's just too many factors that you appear to be completely ignoring. I've considered every angle, even the apparently positive aspects, I've considered it to death and can't come up with a rationale for being in favour of the current set up.

It's basically a case of "if you ignore the bad stuff he's doing then he's a good businessman".

I accept that people don't always get what they deserve, and sometimes people who have no business being in power somehow get there. Look at dictatorships.

It's like saying "well you can say Hitler was a terrible leader, but he got there for a reason so maybe not!"

The harassment case for example - spending millions of pounds of club money pursuing a case he's no chance of winning over a matter of less than £200 000 - when while, technically yes it is the club's liability, but if it had been anybody but ken bates who'd pushed for this action, they'd have been sacked for causing the club liability - and the club would have probably settled out of court, because they wouldn't have to defend the culprit. He's not put Leeds United in a financial position good enough to outweigh things like this, all the elements you consider when concluding that he's running a good business at Leeds, they are all potentials -there's no facts, just potentials, and those aren't looking great. The stadium redevelopment, I guarantee it will not pay for itself within any reasonable time frame. The Pavilion is losing money even after taking the cost of building it out of the equation. Yorkshire Radio? What's the point? It's losing money on something that is surplus to requirements and clearly just a ploy to get people subscribing to LUTV - and I guarantee LUTV is bringing in less money as a result than Yorkshire Radio is losing.

well Marko, fair enough, I have to say I do think there could be something fishy about KB, but it's not my business is it? - I just like to see the football with my kids, I do not want to be abused for what I beleive, regardless of what you do....

Then go about your business and don't try and argue a point that doesn't exist.

Either way there's going to be more unrest and protesting at Elland Road in the coming season. I fully expect it to all go wrong, it makes me sad.

Marko, chin up for God's sake

all the great football to come, Manc derby, an unexpected Chelsea vs munich final, Newcastle pushing 4th, Madrid 7 clear vs barca in La liga, Juventus vs Milan for Itlaian title..

the world is bigger than Ken Bates and your negetive life

I don't give a crap about football other than Leeds United. I don't go out and watch it unless it's Leeds.

And my life isn't negative, thanks. Just because I am sick of being treat like a second class citizen by my football club with no option of taking my custom elsewhere, and I am taking every opportunity to shout and scream about it (the only way we'll see any effect, accepting it and sitting back like you so religiously preach doesn't get anybody anywhere).

If we all listened to you it would all quieten down and we could all go back to enjoying poor football that's unlikely to improve regardless of how much money we're pulling in.

Marko, again Pal, the world is bigger than Bates

you say your life isn't negetive, so you abuse all who you don't agree with, swear in every post, or correspondance (that letter you wrote to Bates)

Come on Marko, chin up man

If you don't agree with me or anybody else for that matter fair enough, you have to understand we all have differences in opinion.

Re Bates being a millionaire but through your eyes as dodgy, well, why is that my business? - the fact is he has made himself rich, how he does it is no business of yours or mine, Ridsdale isn't a poor guy is he? - is he a good football chairman?

I remember a certain Italain politician inviting me to a meeting about the Camorra, and a plan of action... I said, why is this my problem? - it doesn't make any difference to me how a man makes his living, they leave my parts in Italy alone, and I don't get involved with any movements against them.... everybody is happy, and making money

You have a job on there Tusc... It's like pushing sand up a chimney with a fork in a very high wind...!

Good luck sunshine. He argued with me the other day for agreeing with him. I reckon he's the love child of you know who and thingy...!

He's not overly keen on Ken either...?

-------------------------

that's exactly my point, you implied if he got money he must be a good businessman or he wouldn't get where he is. He's not, he's a terrible businessman and how he got to where he is was by ****ing over as many people as possible, which isn't that uncommon.
