Why is it Rafa Benitez gets so much stick especially from some of our fans about his transfer record. Its almost 2 years since he left but Kenny's transfer budget has been massively funded by players who Rafa bought
Torres-50Mil (Profit)
Babel-7M (loss)
Ngog-4M (Profit)
Even before players like
Masch 18M
Insua 4M
If you look at the current Liverpool set up, who would we get most value from? It is debatable that we would get no less than a 10M profit from Suarez.
Lucas
Agger
Skrtel
Reina
Johnson
So if this manager was so bad in the market how did he manage to even get a profit on Voronin? Fact is he did make mistakes but if you are scrapping at the bottom of the barrel you are more likely to get duds rather than quality players. There is a reason they were free agents.
Almost two seasons after he left the clubs most priced assets Academy and first team were signed by Rafa. So if you balance good against bad overall he was good in the market.
Why does Rafa get stick for his signings

sorry, inter milan was 12-15
..............
I would have to say that any Inter Manager trying to sign Agger for that amount with his injury record must be barking mad, and wouldn't last long in the job.

VS I would say so too. Either that or some ones lying.

We will see what redconn comes back with. At the moment he is looking it up, to see who was Inter's manager at the time.
His silence will tell you the answer.
