Good morning/afternoon/evening/gap in the space time continuum.
These are the rules, I will add to them other time as this is an organic league that needs a chance to develop but here are the basics.
1.0 Picking your Team
You will originally be assigned a budget of £230m (this was chosen so you'll have an average value of £10m per player accross your squad) which which you can pick a squad of 23 players using the values found on transfermarkt.co.uk.
You will start by picking your first 11 and using a random generator, any clashes will be sorted out - and the player will be randomly assigned to one of the teams that ha chosen the player. You will be refunded for any money you have lost out by losing out on a player.
Once the 11 man first teams are chosen, you can then go ahead and pick the other 12 players that will comprise your squad.
2.0 League Structure
There will be two divisions to the league, one run by myself and one run by Tippy (we will not be in our own leagues). There will be a round robin of games where players from the opposing league will vote on results from your league (League A players vote on League B games and vise versa).
League A will be run by Tippy Tappy.
League B will be run by Fred Bassett.
There will be 8 teams in each group and 4 of the top placed teams will advance into a quarter finals stage and will contest a tournament to find an overall winner. For the teams not lucky enough to advance, there will be a seperate tournament so you aren't completely out of contention for a prize.

The winnings will be as follows and will be added to your transfer budget as soon as you've won them.
Winning a group match: £5m
Drawing a group match: £2m

4.0 Games
4.1 Tactics
Fixtures for all gameweeks have been calculated and you can have a look at your results ahead of your games looking at the full fixture list (link found on the home page). Each week the upcoming games will be displayed both on the league page and on the home page.
On the league page you will see a link to a Tactics and Voting page for each league (called the Gameweek page). Tactics must be (unless otherwise specified) handed in before Wednesday at 1pm, submitted on the Gameweek page where they will be displayed in article. Voting will then commence.
4.2 Results Calculation
Once tactics have been displayed, you will then be able to vote on the results in the opposing league to the one in which your team plays. All we need is a scoreline and the players you think would have scored for each team. A brief description would be great but it's not essential.
We will then work out an average of all the scores and pick the most commonly selected goalscorers for each side to give the final result and this process will be entirely objective and transparent.
If you feel there has been any mistake in calculations, contact the league leader.
5.0 Injuries
The reason for the squad is that you will incur injuries throughout the season in your squad. 3 players from each team will incur an injury that will rule them out for one game and one game only. After that game the process will be renewed and 3 new players will be injured while the previously injured 3 will return to full fitness and be ready for selection.
6.0 Mid-Season Transfers
Once the season has begun you will still have the chance to buy and sell players as well as trade them with your fellow players while remembering to make sure your squad has 23 players when your game is scheduled to be played (this rule is subject to change, however).
You can have a maximum of 3 external transfers between games, using the values on transfermakrt, and player + cash offers are fine. You can also trade, buy and sell with other managers in the league and these transfers are unlimited.
Be sure to confirm all transfers on the transfer page (link found on the home page).

Do we have a set number of defenders or midfielders etc or can we choose whatever positions we want for the squad?

T bone
However you choose however you will incur injuries to your squad picked at random. Although these won't be consistant with real life injuries.

Hey guys, when do you think all the first 11's will be chosen? Do we start the rest of the 23 after that?

First 11s announced tomorrow at the latest but Tippy is in charge of that and if we receive all first 11s today then I think he'll announce them today.
We want to get up and running as soon as possible.
