I know he's a bit of a you know whatty but i do think he would be a good signing under a strong manager. Put in some caveats into contract re on and off field behaviour determining contract length etc and we might get ourselves a good deal. I mean, other teams couldn't dislike us any more could they?

I think that there are plenty of better players out there.
I'd rather not have him.

Who's better? And as realistic?

Jonny, fair point,if he's good enough and cheap enough why not?

Diouf is a quality player but I would guess he wouldn't come cheap, his wages would be one big drawback. Not sure he would offer value for money

Harrow,so if he's on a free, then that would balance out the wages.
Or would that upset the wage cap?
If we have one.

Bates will not offer him enough for him to sign, and there's no such thing as a free transfer

Just nothing to pay to his current club.

.......
Depends what you define as realistic. Free? Old?
I would like the club to show ambition and put a bid in for a young star like Sean Scannell or junior stanislas.
Or even Chris Eagles (if Bolton go down) or marvin emnes.
In Gradel we sold a player better than the above mentioned. We never got close to replacing him. KWB should blow that money on a proper winger.

I wouldn't be disappointed with Diouf.
He's a lot like Warnock, I hated the man when he took over at Elland Road, he won me over with his enthusiasm and commitment. Diouf can do the same. As long as he puts in the effort and doesnt spit at our fans.
Not sure how he and McCormack will get along after their bust up.
