Well it seems after 9 months of complete oblivion, Yousuf has finally come out of the wild and given his reasons for not playing Domestic & International cricket for the past 9 months. Pakistan cricket has moved on rapidly since his departure, but it seems Yousuf himself and Pakistan coach, Dav Whatmore are eager for him to return to Pakistan cricket.
It seems as though Yousuf still has that same passion for cricket he had when he first started, but could not commit himself to cricket in the past 9 months due to personal reasons, something which I have no problems with.
Yousuf, did undergo a fitness test under Dav Whatmore on Tuesday in a bid to stage a comeback at the age of 37. It is quite clear that our new coach wants Yousuf to return, if he can show form and fitness that is. But, the million dollar question remains, do Pakistan need him? I for one would have no problem in him returning to the Test side, of course, if he struggles with form and fitness then it’s time to move on, but there is no reason as to why this guy cannot play Test cricket again. And, please (Kash and Afridi14) don’t say he’s too old.

Wtf? Why don't we give Inzi a fitness test while we are at it? I don't want him back, he's a trouble maker and has no respect to fellow players. If things don't go his way he spits the dummy out. We are a united squad and he's the last thing we need. My advise to Moyo is to retire with grace.

If this was two years ago, then fair enough Amir. But what is the point now? It’ll take him about another year to adjust to international cricket and pakistan don’t play as often as some other nations. His time is well and truly up. Class player, class guy – its unfortunate that the pcb destroyed him. We’ve been strarved off a quality cricketer for years.
Kash, he’s no trouble causer mate, think you only need to look at the shenanigans in the last few years to know that – he wasn’t even around. Not only should Malik not be in the team, but he should be shot too for his part in all the “trouble-causing”
I do think we’ve moved on though, just need to find a replacement for misbah in a year or two….

Afridi,
- He spat his dummy out when Malik was made skipper, never played for him and caused a divide.
- He joined the ICL despite knowing that he would not play for Pakistan cos of the money that was being offered to him.
- He's had known issues with the board and fellow players.
- Sydney 2010 the way he skippered the team it was very dodgy.
- Retired from cricket numerous times and does not even play domestic cricket.
Just cos he has a nice long beard and preys 5 times a day does not mean he's a good bloke. He's too much of an ego. A excellent batsman back in the day but its his own fault why he's not playing for Pak anymore.

Kash,
Even a blindman can see that Shoaib Malik was the one playing politics in the Pakistan Cricket team.He only wanted captaincy and was too greedy, cricket is a gentleman's game but players like him spoil the gameand should not be entertained… No-one is saying yousuf is perfect, but at the same time he didn’t thrive for captaincy and we know he’s a poor fielder… with those two factors included, he’s still worth 22 shoaib maliks….
ICL – So what if he joined the ICL – so did others like razzaq? He’s walked back into the team.
Retired from international cricket numerous times – that’s part and parcel of being a top-notch pak player, just like other greats.
Its got nothing to do with his beard, also who does he prey at? Hope its not Malik . There are not many Pakistan “greats” of this era – but hes definitely one of them…. Kash, have a go at him again and I’ll change my username to MoYo14

Look i'm not saying Malik was not perfect but during his time as skipper Moyo lead a revolt that destablelised the team.
As for joining ICL well that happened when he was not chosen for the world T20 cup in 2007 which again shows his child mentality where if things dont go his way he does the opposite to annoy people. He might have the respect for Misbah being the same age etc but he has a lot to prove that he can play international cricket. Maybe another county stint.

Deserves an honourable exit.No cricket nation other than Pakistan gives such treatment to world class players who are on the verge of retirement i.e completely discard them.Give him test series in Lanka as probably his last.
