"In a week that has seen Chelsea knock holders Barcelona out of the Champions League to reach the final and halfway through a game in which they are 4-0 up, I can think of no more rational and calm time to debate whether Roberto di Matteo should get the manager's job on a full-time basis.
Personally, I think it would be extremely harsh if he wasn't now given the job but I can appreciate there are legitimate reasons why some may feel otherwise. Feel free to discuss."

I extremely doubt Di Matteo will win the CL for Chelsea and it's highly unlikely they'll be PL champions next year. And even if he does win the both the CL and the FA Cup....Well I can see him becoming the next Ancelotti. Sacked after a Double-winning season.

He has also already accomplished something Fergie has never done. Avoid getting raped by a Barcelona team led by Guardiola.

He deserves the job. But with Roman, you never know.

Avram Grant nearly won the Champions League. If he did would keep him in charge?
Idiotic to compare him to Wenger. Not surprised though.
After all, you're the same guy who thinks Valencia's world class, and that Ribery's rubbish.

I reckon he deserves the job anyway. Beating the greatest side ever over two legs is near impossible. And the way chelsea were going this season, just makes that even more remarkable. Not to mention they're in the FA cup final.
Give him a chance.

He deserves it, but it means Chelsea will go back to their old ways. Also I am unsure as to how much control RDM has or if the players do alot of the tactics.
