Will McLeish walk after Norwich?

After all of the stresses and strains of the last few months, today has seen two massive, immense results for the benefit of Aston Villa. So big thanks are due to Chelsea and Spurs for soundly beating our relegation rivals.

Blackburn in particular, looked even worse than we did at White Hart Lane, which is really saying something. Not a single shot on goal tells us that there is surely no chance of them winning their last two games. QPR also MUST now get a result at Manchester City to be able to overhaul us, so even if we lose the last two, it looks VERY unlikely we will now get relegated. So it's a huge puff of the cheeks tonight!

Of course, we're not mathematically safe yet so there can be NO PROTEST at the Spurs game, for the good of the team during the 90 minutes. I repeat, NO PROTEST.

Surely everyone must see though that a pathetic sub-20% win rate, negative football, plummetting gates and supporter apathy are pointers for the manager to go. McLeish SHOULD have been sacked in December but he was NEVER going to be. That was never an option I'm afraid, due to the respective 'pay-offs' to O'Neill, Houllier and Blues for the 'priviledge' of taking McLeish himself.

What we need now, more than anything is VIBRANCY. No more of the defensive negativity, boredom and goalless draws that McLeish brings. I firmly believe that even though a year ago, appointments of the ilk of Lambert, Rodgers, Poyet etc would not have been tolerated at Villa Park, now they are EXACTLY what we need! We need a change of direction, full stop. We're not going to challenge for the top six in the near future so we need to be entertained, it's as simple as that. We need reawakening to the beauty of the game not the ugliness of the McLeish brand.

So what about McLeish. Well, as unsuitable to us as he is, I do believe he is a decent man. A man of integrity. He will not want to be sacked for sure and he will realise that he has both failed at Villa and will never be accepted at the club. He will not want to walk as he's not a quitter but the club will also not want to sack him. For that reason, I can see a compromise being reached and McLeish leaving the club 'by mutual consent', after the Norwich game.

You can call me names if I'm wrong.

He better walk... If not I say we hold the biggest protest in the history of mankind after the Norwich game. The only thing that favours AM is that we are playing away, but still nothing should stop us.

This guy needs to have the common sense to leave at the end of the season. If he does not do that then I think things should and will get ugly...

A man who resigns by email!
McLeish will never resign from villa because he honestly doesn't believe it's his fault,he blames the players, injuries etc.All the same excuses he used at Blues!

Dead man walking,he's as good as finished!
Still think the personal abuse was and is out of order,
But he should of never been in the running for the job!
How could he inform blouse board he wanted out when the owner willy Carson was locked up?
At least we helped our little neighbours out with a bit of cash to keep them going,as the future for them lucks as good as Mcleish's does as villa coach!

McLeish is going nowhere,if you stay up.Unfortunately it looks like you will & therefore the ginger is yours all next season!
If we get up throught he playoffs it will be great to play you in the derby again,we'll hammer you as Mcleish parks the bus and plays for the draw again!

Concentrate on the play-offs... It's one of the biggest days in your clubs history... Well I say history, it's just a big day for BCFC.

Goes down like a pint Wolverhampton ale.
Takes ages to settle.
Far too big a head.
Heavy body.
Bitter after taste.
Costs more that its worth.
Never likely to be seen in a cup, only a glass as no bottle.
Currently drank with a ginger nut.
Been causing a few upset tummys lately, with others clenching buttocks firmly.
Probably best to keep in the cellar for a number of years to let it ferment and may be worth sampling much later on when all the impurities have been removed.
