Hazard..

Tells French TV that he's decided to play in the premier league next season.

Would you be gutted if he went to City? Or is he really that talented that we should do our all to get him?

Only seen youtube clips tbh so dunno how good he is.

Yeah, hard to remember, we were interested in him for a while weren't we?

Berbatov himself is actually a good example of a luxury player. We were fairly sorted everywhere on the pitch, had £30million to spend and went for a player who wasn't right for us.

A luxury player doesn't mean he doesn't fit our system

Kagawa
Hazard
A new LB

And what a season next year we will have IMO.

------------------------------------------

They would all be terrific signings however we wouldn't be addressing the main issue of midfield if those were the only players we signed and IMO it's either or as far as Kagawa and Hazard are concerned because both play in basically the same positions.

Kagawa
Clyne
Gundogan
Ricky Van W.
Pereira/Schmelzer

What a season that would be.

It would increase our strength in depth TRS, and isn't it in the positions those players play in that we are lacking quality? An attacking midfielder, a playmaker sort that can dictate the game and create a wonder pass to the strikers?

Firstly Hazard is not a bad attitude player. Last year when Lilles was crown champion , he had plenty offers but decide to stick around for an extra year. So we cannot say he is a mercenary.
Now the level of Ligue 1 is really poor. You remember how Gervinho looked so impressive at Lilles ? If it was not for Caroll , Arsenal would have been the laughing stock this year. Imo Hazard is a very good player but in the PL he will look average.
We don't really need a winger , but Fergie loves buying one every year. If we get the Japanese guy who you guys say is very good , i think , I think Fergie will go for Modric even he has been carp this year. Something that Saf knows and we cannot identify why he has so much admiration for the guy. If it was up to us , we would have never gone for a guy like Valencia. Fergie knows what he is doing i guess.

I agree with you there in regards to those players giving us more creativity and a bit more spark up front but we're still lacking that tough tackling, ball winning defensive midfielder which we've been lacking ever since Hargreaves started succumbing to injury and Fletcher's form started to dip. Fletcher was great in these areas for a couple of seasons however I feel it's unlikely that he'll ever return to playing at that level again IMO.

A problem we've had this season is when we're in possession of the ball. We give it away far too easily at times when we're put under pressure by teams who play at a high tempo and teams who play an aggressive pressing game. A player with good composure on the ball and a player who can get out of tight situations when pressed by 1-2 players would also be a great addition to the team.

I don't think there's any reason to suggest that we're going to move away from 4-4-2/4-4-1-1 under Sir Alex and players like Kagawa and Hazard shouldn't really be playing in the centre of midfield of these types of formation because you take away a lot of their attacking ability by playing them in such formations because they also have to contribute defensively as well, so that still leaves us with problems in the centre.

Players such as Schweinsteiger, De Rossi, M'Vila, Martinez, Sahin, Bender, Sandro and Modric whilst all aren't the same type of player would improve our midfield each in their own way. I know some of these players aren't likely to be available/likely targets, I'm just giving examples.

i feel signing young ruined our chances of getting hazard, as good as young is he is not in the same category as ronaldo, giggs, beckham and evn nani.

had we not signed him I would have been very optimistic about our chances of getting hazard, hazard is a player that i feel can truely make us forget ronaldo.

Fully agree with that post TRS, you've basically described a box to box midfielder there and sadly not many of them are around these days. Schweisnteigger is probably one of the few left and I've always admired him.
