It's clear as day that we need some actual quality in attack. Just haven't been that decent against good teams. Sick of it tbh.

Going forward you've got Nani, Rooney, Valencia, who are all excellent. Then you've got Welbeck and Young, who are both capable. You're also getting Kagawa if I hear correctly, so the final third of the pitch isn't your problem.
IMO you need a midfield winning player. Roy Keane.

'Clear as day we need some actual quality in attack'
Are you blind or is it a very smoggy day where you are?
We sacrificed our attacking strength to sure up the midfield so doesn't this suggest our attack isnt the issue?

Might make me a lot of things but certainly not a loser.

Agree but that's only 3 and I'd say two of them can be pretty inconsistent at times.

0 shots on target, 5 hopeful shots max in 90 minutes of play. wow
Fergie really did mess it up tonight.
Dropping Rafael for Jones? Rafael has one bad game and he gets dropped for a young inexperienced, hardly match fit CB?
Park? No need to explain
Giggs? Experience is pointless if you're team are getitng outran and outmuscled all over the pitch
The only silver lining from losin the title this season, is HOPEFULLY, fergie will finally sign some CMs

Valenciaschin - It may only be 3 but you can't have 6 attacking starters. As backup, Young is an excellent option. Welbeck falls into this category for time being, but will likely kick on to starting material. Hernandez, also, excellent backup.
Realistically though, players need to come in for Scholes and Giggs. Assuming Cleverly can shoulder the creative burden in the middle of the park, that leaves you needing to buy or promote a backup winger and buy a CM.
You could also ship out Park.

Dropping Rafael was absolutely the right thing to do.
Us losing had nothing to do with Giggs being picked, Smalling simply followed the ball rather than his player from a set piece.
It really is no massive shock that City won 1-0 at their home ground, and this certainly isn't SAF fault. His genius has carried this team to it's current place, and with this squad I think that's some achievement.
On top people are forgetting the title didnt end tonight. City still have to beat Newcastle at St James' (we were slaughtered there) and then a nervy end of season match for the title against QPR fighting to stay in the league. Obviously they are favourites but it's def not 100% over.

Our problem is that we have a lot of 'decent' young players who deserve a chance. This stops us from wanting to buy big.
Having said that, Midfield is a different matter. Can't understand lack of investment there.

Just to clarify, not saying buying big is the right thing to do, but that is why we haven't done so.

Rafael has been terrific all season, one bad game where he had a few lapses of concentration (and was ruthlessly punished) does not mean he should be replaced by a young, not match fit, inexperienced CB.
The scoreline wasnt the disapointing thing, it was the fact we had 0 shots on target with 0 chances created.
