Patrice Evra

Please somebody watch a re run of the match.

Anybody who says Evra is giving his all for the team is a bare faced liar.

Who here can say that Evra is playing with the same intensity and application he was playing with in our CL winning year in 08?

Case in point. Around 75 minutes, Nasri runs past Evra, Rio is jockeying him, Carrick sprints past Evra, who by now is trotting and dispossesses Nasri. During this, Rio (jockeying Nasri), Nasri (with the ball) and Carrick (starting position: 10 yards behind Evra) are managing to run away from Evra.

By all means if you want to defend Evra, do so. But please point out why that happened, and why it's been happening for the last 2 seasons.

Carrick had a good game on the whole; Scholes played pretty well but struggled to really influence the game.

Nasri and Toure tore us apart at times. There was one point in the first half when Nasri skipped past Evra, Giggs and Scholes (might've been Ferdinand). They were all a little slow to react.

If City had Scholes in Barry's place, they'd of been 2 or 3 up at half time.

We gave Nasri way too much space the other night, making him look better than he actually is.

Wasn't it strange, we just camped in our half and didn't press at all. I still don't get it.

They probably would. I don't think Scholes had a bad game, I'm not slating him. He retained possession very well and got us out of a lot of tricky spots in our defensive third, I just don't think he was able to influence the game quite as well as he usually would.

Busby,

I rarely question Sir Alex any more, but as soon as I saw our line-up my head dropped, as it looked like we'd go for a draw.

Also leaving Valencia - by far our most dangerous/productive player - on the bench did not exactly signal our intent to go out and win the game.

I think everybody did. We should have gone out to play football, Welbeck should have been in for Park and Young or Toni should have been in for Giggs.

That liverpool-brazilian did exactly that before being injured.

Lucas? Fair play to him then. Still, on his day Toure is unstoppable, but I think we dealt with him badly, we allowed him to run at us instead of trynig to cut the run before he gets going.
