So I thought I'd weigh in on one of the hottest topics in world football, certainly the talk of the premier league, and probably the millions who follow the league from abroad. With only 2 games to go in the league, can Stewart Downing do it? Can he go an entire season without scoring or getting a single assist in the Premier League?
Currently: Played 29, Goals 0, Assists 0.
Matches against Chelsea and Swansea left in the league, so I'm fairly confident that he can continue this amazing run of form into these last two games to justify his £20million price tag
Whilst one must marvel at his season statistics if we take cup competitions into account, making his stats a frankly phenomenal 36 games, 2 goals. Further evidence if it was needed that:
Downing>Messi

The Question on Everyones Mind....

Serious question: By saying he's quicker than he thought he was, did he just buy him for the sake of it? Did he ever watch him play at all or did he just type in to football Manager in Advance Search:
Nationality:English
Position: Winger
Foot: Left
Age: Between 25-29
And then just proceeded to buy the player?

It only returned one result seemingly.

"And, in the press, he seems nailed-on for a place in the England squad for euro-2012 ..."
Hodgson as manager, nobody any idea what the squad's going to be, a training base that means thousands of miles of travel and the gutter press doing their usual to build them up so they can knock them down. Not looking particularly good, is it?
At least it gives us Scots something to look forward to at the Euros

To be honest I'm worried that Downing's getting too much game time. That ball needs to be like a total stranger to him come summer if he's serious about getting into England's starting eleven.

He probably did the same for the rest of his signigns tbh.
Nationality: British
Foot: Left
Age: 20-30
Fee: £40mil-
Results: Charlie Adam, Andy Carroll, Stuart Downing, Jordan Henderson.
Henderson was probably a case of mis-information on the database as we all know, what a magical right foot he has.

Did anyone see Got_Better's article 'WOW'?
He said Andy Carroll should be let go, not because he's not good enough for Liverpool, but because Liverpool are not good enough for Andy Carroll.

Welcome to the 'Worst Winger in the World' club.
If your name's not Downing, you're not coming in.
