I saw this article and had a chuckle...

I'm sure you can ask Schteve how to iradicate this problem as he's reasonably familiar with the stadium.
Well he's not, but he's been...
It's not just the City Ground then...

Now, being serious for a second as I'm sure even you lot can understand that sitting on a seat for 90 minutes per week 23 times a season won't stop it fading. Isn't that a massive waste of money, not to mention a huge environmental no-no replacing a ton of plastic seats that have slightly faded?!

Seems to be the case in Nottingham...

I don't think anybody is suggesting the lack of support has turned the seats pink. It's turned Doughty's face red, but won't have effected the seats.
Our black ones are a tad faded, so now they are like a dull black rather than shiny black. White ones are fine
Only criticism is that red goes pink, looks a bit silly. Not bothered about the City Ground, but Wembley could've thought about it, there was no requirement for red there.

Only the red in our nation's flag

Affected, not effected. Good answer to the question TBRER.

Yes, I went to the old Wembley many times, I can remember it - not a case of realising.
What connection does the English national ground have to red? Nothing. They could have put any coloured seats. There is a stronger argument for white.

I wouldn't necessarily say there is a STRONGER case for white. It only makes up about half of the St. George's Flag, give or take a few %.
My reasons are:
The English rose = Red
The important part of the St. George's Flag = Red
The single most iconic moment in our footballing history = Red
I'm not saying they shouldn't be white. I'm just saying they should be red - or at least resemble the St. George's flag.

Dan, yes their home kit is white but they also play in red shirts against certain opposition, often big games like Germany and Brazil. Are you really not seeing it or are you being deliberately obtuse?
In addition to the comments above I really don't see why we play most games in white with blue shorts but don't see any point in changing now
