6 loanees have all left plus another 8 have not been offered contracts.
so the players currently under contract to the club are as follows
Steven Foster
Liam Fontaine
Lewin Nyatanga
Marvin Elliott
Neil Kilkenny
Jon Stead
Martyn Woolford
Ryan Taylor
Cole Skuse
Bobby Reid
Yannick and Albert the 'Bookends'
James Wilson
Dean Gerken
Joe Bryan
Brett Pitman.
Contracts offered to
Louis Carey
Lewis Carey
Stephen Pearson
Joe Edwards
Kaliffe Cisse(Is considering returning to France)
Aaron Holloway(short term with a chance to get it extended)
Of the players we are keeping I was surprised that Woolford is one as I don't remember seeing him play one good match for us the odd flash now and again but nothing else and in many games has been like the invisible man as even his teammates don't seem to want to pass to him anymore.
Kilkenny had a bright spell when DM and TD arrived but has been generally more noticed for his moaning than anything else.
Liam and Lewin are too similar I think we should really have one or the other but not both.
We are now without a recognised Left Back as Foster has been playing more at Right Back unless Joe Bryan is being considered for that role.
David Clarkson
Jamal Campbell Ryce
David James
Jamie McAllister
and Riberio(who I thought could have been offered the same sort of deal as young Aaron) Jackson, Ball and Muggeridge not really the mass clearout we were expecting although if offers arrive we might lose another one or twa and it is by no means certain that the people offered contracts will sign then Pearson and Cisse are just two who might get other offers.
Looks like it will be an interesting few months at BS3 to see who we will be seeing in our squad next year.
At the moment it looks a bit threadbare
GK's Gerken, Carey(nothing like ready for the first team)
Defenders Fontaine, Nyatanga, Skuse(If played at RB) Wilson, Bryan, Foster.
Midfield Elliott, Kilkenny and Woolford(IMHO should be considered expendable) Reid, Bolasie, Adomah
Forwards Stead, Taylor, Pitman(who needs to show greater fitness and the ability to be a threat when he plays for 90 mins)
A seventeen man squad at least 3 of which are not what would be considered first team squad regulars (Joe B, Bobby R and James W. and two more of which rarely show anything on the pitch Neil K and Martyn W plus a couple of central defenders who don't seem able to play in the same team with any fluency. If the five or six(if you include Holloway) who have been offered new deals do not sign on I rather think our First league match next season might show a team completely different from this seasons side possably not a bad thing but it will all depend on how the new additions take to gel with those already here and with each other.

You can't get rid of players that still under contract, despite them being poor!
You can only put them on the transfer list or loan them out.
Woolford, Nyatanga, Kilkenny and Pitman are still under contract.
I would expect some of these to be on the transfer list, shortly.

I would include Fontaine in that group since he has gone back to playing like a plank again, I prefer Nyatanga to Fontaine because he is that bit younger.
