Boyata v Bale

Only just realised before that it will be Dezza Boyata against Bale tonight as Steinsson is ill once again - I thought this kid was a hard type warrior like the Paul Robinson "they don't like the cold steel up 'em" kind of guy (obviously ten times better than Robbo ...) but Gretar always seems to be 'effin ill!!!!!

Remember last season at the 'bok when Steinsson put in a couple of feisty tackles on Bale early on in the game and Bale didn't want to know after that - He basically just kicked him out of the game in the nicest possible way.

Question is ...

Can Boyata actually tackle ... ? ... ?

I guess its a case of we've got to score more goals than them to win this game.

Won't be a 0-0 that's for sure ...

I'm now slighty worried

I think we would struggle if Bale actually stayed on the left wing, recent games I've seen Spurs play he drifts all over the place and is less effective than if he just played as an old fashioned winger.

I read that Fabrice Muamba will be attending the game which is great news for the lad.

What effect if any will this have on the game and Bolton in particular ?

Steinsson and Boyata are totally different players. Steinsson will nearly always try to nip in first whereas Boyata often stands off his man.

They are both big, strong lads, but when I saw Boyaa against Macc at home, him and Wheater at centre half weren't great, but I did notice that Boyata can't half move.

The lad is very, very quick, which may just be the key bs Bale.

as if bale will even be on the left. he must think there is a sniper on the left who will shoot him whenever he goes out there.

i would laugh if it didnt annoy me so much. he does absolutely nothing when he comes inside.

I just hope it's a cracking game (and that we win of course) but in a straight up Boyata v Bale, assuming they're both on song I have to give the edge to Bale, but not as much as some might think on paper. Dedryck really is quick and might just be able to use his pace to contain and neutralise Bale.
