I know this is probably a daft question to ask since the squad hasn't been announced yet, but I'm just wondering what your starting line-up would be in our first game against France.
Personally, I'd go with this:
------------------------Hart------------------------
------Richards, Lescott, Jagielka, Baines------
Walcott, Parker, Oxlaide-Chamberlain, Young
-----------------Crouch, Welbeck-----------------
I know people think 4-4-2 is rubbish, but I'm not sure what else we could use because I don't think we have anyone that could cope as a lone striker.
I've dropped Lampard, Gerrard, Rooney (even if he wasn't suspended) and Ashley Cole because I really don't think we should be using them anymore. They had their chance, they failed several times and now I think we should move on.
Anyway, that's my line-up. What would you go for?
What would be your first 11?

"Last time i checked money wasn't was a factor in international football"
-----------------------------------------------
Hence why he never looks like he cares when playing for England.
"if he wasn't committed he would retire."
----------------------------------------------------------
And give up his £250000 per week salary!? Are you mad!?

If he wasn't committed to England he would retire from international football - i am talking international football here not club football and salaries.

ferdinand and terry shouldn't go
I would take Jagielka, Cahill and Lescott with King also in there
Parker is the best player we have in his position, a crunching tackler and a leader on the pitch
crouch and Holt are two of the most underated players in the english game
As a nation we need to stop attempting to play like spain and play like england of old

On the question posed
i would pick Walker over Richards
Your spot on with Baines over cole as baines has been better this season
Would prefer Lennon down the right
Reluctantly i would have Carrick partner Parker
Holt up front with Crouch would be better for me

Right.
Because we won what exactly by playing that way??
One WC. Once. At home. In 1966.
Hardly a glowing tribute to the "English" way....

Cahill & terry play together at chelsea(and cole), cahill is a good cb,terry is still imo also a good cb with a point to prove. Best options i think. Im an everton fan so should be leaning towards jagielka, but he hasnt played enough i dont think.
Ashley young is our best right winger atm, parker is a very good defensive minded midfielder with lampard being the more attacking, experienced midfielder. Leighton baines is unproven at left winger but does offer good attacking play with a very good cross on him. Crouch is a decent forward with a decent goal scoring récord and welbeck offers youth, pace, hunger.
Hart is a no brainer.consistent performer who rarely makes mistakes.
Grant holt is a nice option to bring on. As is gerrard,ox chamb, walcott. Carrick has been decent all season should lampard fail( really think he'll be up for it,mind)
