I think you are getting a limited company confused with a PLC.

nope; united just floated some shares a few months ago, but at the time of the Bebe transfer they were a plc with shares in one family x

No shares have been floated yet, it will be done in the summer.

I didn't realised they'd changed the status; it's not strictly necessary as it was my understanding they'd split the shares amongst several family members. I suppose they're more interested in trying to hide how much they were earning from their ownership, but that's widely known anyway x

They have to say how much they paid out in wages, they don't have to say who to x
