Poor signings once again apart from Carroll but Downing and Hendo were pathetic.

Gerrard was poor, we have to stop relying on him.

Carroll can be an effective battering ram; play to his strengths and he can cause problems for defenders that others can pick up on. Downing needs to realise that that was what he was brought in for, to provide the ammunition, and not to keep faffing around with it running down blind alleys.

downing and henderson were once again rubbish. despite the fact i like spearing for his passion and positive attitude, he made two crucial errors today for the two goals. reina has kept making mistakes all season and today its cost us dearly. enrique could have done better but i still think he's a decent LB. we also can't ignore the fact that gerrard apart from the everton game has shown very very little. essentially the midfield needs a rebuild
