I wasn't oppurtuned to see the game, but through out the whole week people were saying we will beat Norwich and the only tough game would be WBA away. I just wasnt buying that, a part of me expected us to drop points today lo and behold....
Anyway this is what a certain former captain said recently about playing under our current management;
"I have learned so much, especially at a tactical level,"
he explained. "I position myself much better on the pitch. "I was not very good tactically, I simply played wherever I wanted. Now, I have to think tactically a lot more, for the benefit of the team. "I also feel more mature as a player." Cesc Fabregas
Our manager refuses to coach our players especially our midfielders the tactical side of the game simply because his philosophy is expressing yourself. Often more than enough we have all said Alex Song should offer protection for the defence instead of idiotically bombing forward like a mad man. By all means express your self when playing but not to the detriment of your team, our players/ in particular some of our midfielders seems to do the exact opposite. It pains me to see them falling into the same trap over and over again and not ever learning from it, once again we have a manager that wants his players to figure things out by themselves. This can work but only if you have mature players.
It is sheer negligence not to teach young Aaron Ramsey the tactical side of playing his position, we all expect him to be another cesc but those kind of qualities are rare in football nowadays and as you may have read above even he said he learnt sweet FA about tactical positioning all those years with us. In my previous article I stated that why was Vaemelen bombing forward like like a maniac in the first half of the game exposing his position, another player who does that is A.Song. With the exception of Arteta(Who happened to have been coached under a different system and management) majority of our players have zero tactical discipline which I think is a result of a naive manager who refuses to address the issue which has affected us time and time again.
Rant Over!!!
This is not a Wenger out article or me being fickle, I am just another Arsenal fan who see's some of our weaknesses...but hey I'm not the manager.

Vieira was very good tactically, and he was young when bought.
Wilshere last season, tactically, I thought was our best midfielder last yr.
But coaching towards that side needs to improve, agree.
