And he's done nothing different IMO, mr C

Well he has actually........
He has changed formation, he has the players understanding their roles in the team and has put a lot more trust in the whole squad than what AVB did.

He even has Torres starting to believe which is no mean feat for a player with the fragility in confidence of a carton of eggs on a roller coaster ride

Most important thing is that he's managed the squad and used ALL of the players for the remaining games of the season, resting the old guard when neccessary WITHOUT causing World War 3 AND he's carried on winning. AVB was incapable of doing all of the above.

Actually we were already playing 4-2-3-1.

Under AVB we had no fixed formation or style, it changed from match to match, that is one of the reasons the players lost confidence in what they were supposed to be doing.

Glad he's gone anyway. As you said. Not his fault he was appointed but he did pretty f *** everything up he touched, in his time here.

I don't understand this weird impression anti-AVBers have that people like me who liked the man don't make estimations based on accumulated evidence.
AVB is one of the clearest examples of the dangers implied in the phrase, "be careful what you wish for", and it's very convenient that many of the ideals people attached to AVB's appointment in the first place have now been turned against him. So in essence, he was always gunna fail.

Mate, I didn't want Ancellotti (or Mourhino for that matter) to be sacked, that was done by scientists like Abromovich, Gourlay and Buck. I was very happy with the job that they were doing (something that I can NEVER say about AVB). Carlo in my opinion was stiffed by the club, he won the double in his first season with a team that the wise old sage Alex Ferguson labelled as too old in 2008, the following season when we had fantastic momentum, they sacked his assistant (Wilkins) because his wife upset Gourlay's wife, and after that the wheels came off.
With regards to turning against AVB, I never wished for him in the first place, that was imposed on us by the people who run our club. In my opinion he should never have got the job in the first place.
