How Come...

Sheffield Wednesday Can reclaim the 'away' end for their own fans
for such an important Game. !
they moved the visitors into the upper tire,
Let both ends provide a vociferous atmosphere towards their opponents
by letting them stand through out.
maximized their income potential into the bargain.

I'll tell ya 'How Come'.
Someone, maybe a few. behind the scenes did some Work.
did what ever it took to bring the changes about. Thought about what was in the interests of Wednesday,
acted...
And were rewarded in kind
Well done to 'whom (all) it concerns'

And I would appreciate an answer to my next question.
One I've asked before...(& I'll keep asking..till someone can give me a reasoned answer, reasoned being the word, not some of the cuff sarcasm)

Again, as is the situation at every game at Craven Cottage..
'How come' the so called visitors end was(is) a mix of both Fulham & Sunderland fans ? sat side by side in many cases, with no 'blanked off' seats, no 'day glow' line of security personell to keep 'em apart.
Never any bother either..

It can be done.

right.
What changes can we expect at the 'pharm for our very important clash with MK Dons.
I have expectations..Do you !
Also, 95% of season ticket holders will be present anyway.
Will there be any incentive to attract 'floaters', or mates of mates.

pay on the gate.
20 quid...dad 'n' lad.
30 quid... 2 adults & 2 young un's = Grand dad, Dad & lads..(whatever)

Last game..
lets pack 'em in..
no messing about with 16 or 17 thou... full INTIMIDATING house, aka The DEN 2 seasons ago...

I have a dream...............

I don't get why clubs have to put on offers for play off games. There was a blunt fan on radio Sheffield saying they need to do this at the lane and even suggested it could be free. Are these not the most exciting games of the season that everyone wants to be at? The prize is Wembley, isn't it a massive game?

I think the play-offs, for those clubs who have been through them a few times, are losing their attractiveness.

For Town, now with 3 in a row, it's just another play off ...and for Utd, I suppose it's a major let down...MKDons are the same, regular play-off team over the past number of years and it's not bringing out the grannies and grandads in MK is it...

For me, there are 24 teams in Championship, Div1 and Div 2, and they all have different promo and relegation formula's... 4 up from Div 2, 3 up from Div 2..., 3 down from Champ, 4 down from Div 1 , 2 down from Div 2.... Div 1 has 3 up and 4 down, no wonder its a tough league, Div 2 has 4 up and 2 down...

just saying , it needs sorting out...

id like to see the club that finishes 3rd go straight into the final..
5th plays 6th winner plays 4th..etc.. 3rd get a good advantage then..
5th v 6th is 2 legs.. winner v 4th(at home) is a one off etc..
4th then gets home advantage and 2 games less..
clubs who finish 10 points or more in some cases behind others dont deserve anything like a "level playing field"...they simply didnt do "enough" in the regular season and would have to work much harder in the play offs..
same as now, everyone would know the score before the season starts and the large advantage of finishing as high as you possibly can would see the "run in" to the end of the season being spiced up somewhat further.. we have been "safe" in the play offs for a while as have others in this league and the other divisions..

Darn, They were unlucky, Apparently that was the first game that Halifax had not scored for a long time,, They bossed it big time and hit the bar twice.,, Shame as the lads from work said they would be more than happy in the proper conference for a few seasons.,,,,,,,,,,, There were loads of empty seats against Bornmuff !!

Hopefully, after the borefest of a final between MK and Stevenage in an empty ground they'll realise what boll ocks it is and go back to three go up automatic.

I'd go further...given the obvious equality now between Championship and Div 1 ( see Norwich, Saints, etc) and Div 1 and Div 2 (MKDons, Stevenage, etc)...the up and downs should be the same.

Championship 4 down///Div 1. 3 up.+one from play-offs
Div 1- 4 down , // Div 2 , 3 up, + one from play offs
Div 2 - 4 down // Conference 3 up , + one from play offs

How they justify protecting Championship clubs to only 3 down...there by restricting Div 1 to 3 up is nonsense, is all about protecting the Premier League legacy..
and I'm not just saying that 'cos of Town's situation...it's just plain unfair to me.

I see where you're coming from 38, with the advantage for 3rd placed...but the solution offered, (imo) = too American.
I go more along the lines of Jacko's idea of the same 'up' & 'darn' from each division, being.

2.

That's it, Two.

or how about the playoff final being at the home ground of the highest placed team....that should be advantage enough. ? just a thought.
Izzy hits it on the head...! Imagine Wembley if it;s Stevenage v MK they won't be able to fill the bottom tire.

Myth, soz mate, just like Brycey, I too saw lots of empty seats against Bournemouth, albeit on TV...But the same, even more so the home leg against Millwall (I was there for that one)...
& hence the thread...WHY ?
Wednesday have shown us it can be done, & DID IT.
I want the same for Town.

any attendance around the 16 or 17 thou mark is an indication that no one darn at the club has done anything above & beyond what's expected of them to 'make it an event'...
The regular 13/15 thou have done their bit,
the players will have done their bit...just.
7000 empty seats will not be enough.

38 thou + at Hillsborough.
Things can be done to help fill the 'Pharm.

question.
Will these things get carried out ?

The play offs are the best part of the season.
Life isn't fair, and it's more interesting that way.
