Venkies losing their touch?

With Charlie Adam about to go to Liverpool do you think that the venkies are losing their touch. They could have milked this one as a "we are neck and neck with liverpool in signing Adam" then they could have said liverpool pipped them at the post.

Or even had a lookalike zip out of a limo into a medical suite where they all relax and eat chicken watching the commotion on skysportsnews as Charlie Adam is in two places at once!
