All sectarianism from either side is wrong, and the people who abuse McClean or Rangers players are in the wrong.
Folk who love to focus on bigotry from bears or NI fans, while ignoring ra songs and republican songs among their fans, are being hypocrites.
For example, some people call others huuns and DOB's,and then accuse those they abuse of being the only bigots in town.

Plenty of Catholics played for NI just as plenty of Prod's play for Ireland in rugby. These Ulster rugby guys also listen to the Soldier's song and see the tricolur fly,but unlike McClean they do not say I was surrounded by,"them uns" basically.
Ironic, with all the progress to get rid of sectarian songs at NI games that we are still making political comments..........and some are simply point scoring.
Placing the blame for bigotry at the feet of the other side is lazy and futile.
We have all been at it on either side.I have in the past,so I know when people are at their work on both sides of the McClean debate.

As a Rangers and GAWA man,can I say good luck to ROI in the Euros and stay safe. Some crazy hoolies out there.

Kick All Bigotry And Racism Out.

Because unlike McLean, one's religion doesn't matter to them....

Yet you keep on discussing religion!

and why? Because it's apparently a big issue for a high-profile footballer from Northern Ireland (whose bigotry some would like to sweep under the carpet or make excuses for)

Look he doesn't want to play for NIreland. He grew up supporting the Republic side and now he has realised his dream of representing them
If you can't handle this well then tough

Let's be clear. I only want players who want to play for us. But I will highlight those who cite the religious makeup of the NI squad as one of the reasons for wanting away

Nah your raging that such a young talented footballer has decided to play for the Roi
