If he was 2 years into a 4 year deal that means he would have to wait 18 months to speak to foreign clubs and 24months before he could speak 2 English clubs.

I'm personally not a betting man and wouldn't take it too seriously after all Harry at one point was favourite for the Chelsea job!

While I'm a huge fan of Modric I wouldn't go over 45M and doubt the club would also. For example there is Banega who is being linked to Inter for 8.1M and is in my opinion a better player.

For Spurs there is life after Modric. For example if you get 45M you could buy two world class strikers, a midfielder who sets the tempo similar to Modric and still have some to spare to do something witha that defense!

To hold on to him so desperately is unneeded in my opinion.

Good comments even if I don't agree with them all........You don't understand Levy , he will sell a player who is on a short contract even if he doesn't want to sell him because he was badly burned by traitors trip to the Goons ....He will NEVER EVER put himself up for ridicule ......Luka is staying and that really is END OFF because he simply cannot afford to sell him for any price , this may change in a year or so but not now
