well i think after the initial bid we stopped chasing modric anyways and when we bid we didnt have a manager in place.
Andre villas boas has already said that he will assess the players for a week and then decide if there is a need to buy and which areas need strengthening and will make necessary changes.
The players being linked to us are nothing but tabloid rumor and early indications are that for a change roman has given the manager full control over transfers and i think the players that will be signed will be villas boas's signings and not roman's!!

Can't be a victory for the spuds, no chance. We ahve played it to the letter and Modric on top of that has explicity staed that he wants to play for CFC. Which way do they go? They have backed themselves into a corner. That's all that is needed now is an increased bid and for Modric to hand in a formal transfer request.

Spurs said no to Modric, according to reports today he is the one who was told he could leave if an offer came in which would improve his career, an offer came in from a club which has been a top 4 side for the last 8 years, winning the league 3 times including one domestic double (And before the usual suspects jump on that statement, yes I do understand that Roman's money is behind this, but it alters the facts not one iota), and Levy refused to honour something he shook hands on.
That means Levy's word and handshake are worthless. and the man is not to be trusted.
