Good afternoon chaps,
Most of us would agree that England & South Africa (the top two teams) are very closely matched in terms of balance/skill etc.
So.... i propose a combined XI so we can see what kind of a beast is produced!
1. A Cook (England)
2. H Amla (South Africa)
3. J Trott (England)
4. K Pietersen (England)
5. J Kallis (South Africa)
6. AB de Villiers (South Africa)
7. M Prior (England)
8. S Broad (England)
9. G Swann (England)
10. D Steyn (South Africa)
11. J Anderson (England)
12. I Bell (England)
13. M Morkel (South Africa)
Finally, do you think that you could combine a better team using two different combined countries? (You may use both SA & ENG in different parings)
Cheers

The same could be said for every region in Football. It's not just the South American teams that miss out.
What you are suggesting in Cricket would be a free pass for all the test teams bar the Asians.
Also, on a related note, the test playing nations help fund the smaller nations to help them develop and become more competitive, the same cannot be said for Football.

I don't know this. It's quite interesting to hear a test playing nation such as Bangladesh is contributing funds to develop Cricket in Canada or USA.
I am suggesting each and every country should play in qualifying competition for the good of Cricket.

Also, the associate teams can have their better players play for the full test sides to gain experience, and then return to the side to help development, Like Ed Joyce did with England.

Why not just have the peple who were born in South Africa. Is that not the same thing?
