Falcao. BUY HIM PLEASE SIR ALEX.

Are you watching him now? He has been incredible for the last couple of years and is just what we need. He would score 40 a season for us. Considering we're losing the title on goal difference, imagine what an impact he'd have? Whatever it costs, pay it.

Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and Spurs will strengthen and City will learn from their dip in form this season and spend more money to shore up any weaknesses. I'm not saying we;re suddenly going to drop out of the Champions League places but we'll find it harder to win the league next season if we don't add big name players.
City will only get better.

We can still compete by signing talented players who aren't big names yet. While I would love a big name signing, we've done brilliantly by buying players on the verge of becoming a great player.

Why do they have to be "big name" signings? As long as the players we bring in are good enough and what we actually need, why does it matter if they're a big name or not?

I completely disagree with this. Over the past 5 seasons our only attacking talent who was developed by us was Ronaldo. We are good at spotting good defenders but attackers, no. We have to start accepting the fact that City are not going to go away and they are only going to get stronger and considering how strong their squad is now it is a scary sign compared to our squad.

We need 3 quality signings, 2 in CM and one striker. Our play has been lacking because of the lack of speed, quality and power in the middle of the park and has shifted our ENTIRE attack to the wings. We have become very one dimensional and it has become alot easier to defend against.

If I could choose who I wanted I would pick:

Muniain (Athletico Bilbao) 19 years old and is a Silva type of player and oozes quality and has many great years ahead of him.

Falcao (Atletico Madrid) 26 years old and is a complete striker. He has it all and would be a perfect strike partner for Rooney.

Fellaini (Everton) 24 years old and is the type of muscle and brawn we need in the middle of the park that can drive our team forward.

As has been stated, would cost more than torres. Moved for 35 mil last year. Also he is very much just a finisher. Thats a lot of money for a hernandez type of player no matter how much they insert the ball in the net.

Fergie would never buy, stubburn old man never buys anyone, we need World Class players, especially in CM!! At least 7 players needed to win the PL next year.

Fergie out.

Nani, Welbeck, Chico, Valencia, Rooney..... All have improved here, since arrival.

Why would Falcao leave? He has said he is happy at Madrid.

We're losing the title on goal difference because of the defensive side of the team not lack of goals. We've scored about the same as City have with Aguero, Tevez/Balotelli/Dzeko, Nasri and Silva.

It's amazing the amount of people who fail to recognize this.

Whilst I do agree that it wouldn't hurt to have a player who could add a bit more creativity from midfield and not the wide areas, our biggest problem is defensively because the defence doesn't get the protection it needs from the midfield.

The other problem we have is our inability to retain possession and keep it when we're put under pressure by sides with an aggressive pressing game. As soon as a team puts us under the slightest bit of pressure, we give the ball away either with a sloppy pass or by getting outmuscled by one of the opposition players.

These are IMO the two areas which most require improvement.
