A few leeds fans on ehre who are moaning about the signing of pearce(24) and the potential signing of ward(22), if portsmouth werent in financial trouble we would have to pay alot more for these two players than we are doing, 750,000 for two good young promising players is good shrewd business and will help us not only now but in the future.

So it's a signing then! Always rumours. I heard a rumour last season that a decent keeper was joining us from Blackpool. Never happened, we got Rachubka instead!

NW seem to be on holiday at the moment, will be back beginning of June, so i expect it to be quiet until then, unless its a Pompey player, as they need money now

Don't let it get to you.
Even if we discover time travel and bring back all the top players from the Revie, Wilkinson and O'Leary eras, it still won't be good enough for some on here.

Who has complained on here about us signing Pearce? I haven't read any negatives about that.

Roz, do any of the posts on our board contain any negativity in your view...?

Eric.
Yes.
But understandable sometimes.

Yep,vince hillair who watches Pompey a lot said we have got pierce for a fraction of what he is worth,as much as 5 or 6 times of what we payed is his transfer value if they were not desperate for money up front.ward will also be a bargain,Ipswich been working on him for months so we not be happy.some of their fans on Ipswich paper think we are taking no notice of the new financial rule without working it out that leeds could spend more than the rest because we have bigger turnover.this new rule is great for the likes of leeds, not so good for Ipswich Leicester hull ect with smaller turnovers.

This one will fit quite nicely into Bates' plans for a long drawn out transfer process......
