Gary Rowett gets the job ! Seriously !

Well thats it then, the clubs ambitions are there for all to see.
I've described my relationship of well over 45 years with the club like a marriage and certainly over the last 2 seasons that relationship has been strained to say the least, it has now broken down to such an extent that i will actively seek a divorce !
For those of you that continue to visit my ex i hope there are good times(but i strongly suspect otherwise) for you and for those who will not be visiting i hope life goes well for you.
I will stay on here for the Euro's predictor league to exchange some good natured banter.
Pez my friend i hope Mansfield get promoted and you enjoy a happy season there.

I understand where you are coming from here ,its a bit like you find you have cancer ,get treatment, but are unsure as to whether it will return . I for one, wanted a managerial change as unfortunately Gary will always be tarred with Peschs brush, as he was a part of that partnership ! A new man with a new set of players would or could have been the tonic we all needed . But ever the optomist, i will hope he succeeds for the good of the club ,and that Ben has saved a few quid into the bargain .I feel he may need it when we are relegated back into the conference where we have always belonged .

Well i've been there too stuart44, my cancer has gone !!!
Rowett may make a good manager he may not, i'm not sure what his imput was with PP but he has a chance to make his own signings now and sink or swim by them.
Not impressed with his deals for Phillips and Yussef i must say but i've just reached the end of my association with the club,Cancer makes you look at life differently and i've grown a bit long in the tooth to believe the Pirelli spin and i've actually found more enjoyment on Saturdays doing other things.
A fresh approach and statement of ambition may have encouraged me to return to the fold but i am disappointed with the clubs decision immensely and will move on. All the best.
