R16 produced some of the shocking results, the biggest of them all was Verdasco beating Nadal and that too on clay. We have our Qtr. finals lined up and its looking very promising.
1. [6] Tomas Berdych (CZE)
v
[15] Fernando Verdasco (ESP)
Prediction: After beating Nadal in R16, Verdasco is up against the big hitting and inform Berdych. I expect Verdasco to lose this very easily without much effort. He must be overwhelmed with yesterday's win and I don't think that feeling will sink in this fast.
My pick: Berdy in 2 easy sets like 6-2 6-1. Verdasco will struggle in his every single attempt to hold serve.
2. [1] Novak Djokovic (SRB)
v
[7] Janko Tipsarevic (SRB)
Djo won yesterday but needed a lot of chances from Wawrinka. Wawrinka plays well but often puts himself always under pressure by making daft errors and then trying hard to chase the scoreline which is always difficult. Djo served good yesterday. Tipsy for me caused an upset beating simon. He has beaten Djo at WTF last year, but I may not say Djo played that match in 100% fitness.
Can he beat him again?
My pick: I'm backing an upset here. Tipsy will get some chances and will need to make the most of those. So for me, Tipsy in 3.
3. [3] Roger Federer (SUI)
v
[5] David Ferrer (ESP)
Ferrer almost lost yesterday untill Almagro decided otherwise. Fed had a comfortable win where he didn't even look like he needed to go above 3rd gear.
Ferrer will grind as he always does, but Fed will handle those.
My pick: I'll go with Fed in 2.
4. [10] Juan Martin Del Potro (ARG)
v
[16] Alexandr Dolgopolov (UKR)
Match of the day for me. Delpo is looking good, serving good and returning good as well. He is hitting and moving good as well. Dolgo was super himself yesterday. But he is an unpredictable player which is one of the reasons I like to watch him.
My pick: A tough pick. i'll go with Delpo in this match. But this is a win-win for me anyways. An inform delpo is a good player against top guys too. He just has better shot selection atm than Dolgo.

Results Qtr. Finals:
1. (3) R Federer defeats (5) D Ferrer 64 64
Ferrer actually played very good. Served very well and was very aggressive. But the thing is Fed is just a far better player than Ferrer. Even the best of Ferrer probably will not be able to beat a half decent Fed.

3. (7) J Tipsarevic defeats (1) N Djokovic 76(2) 63
I've said this about Djo many times. He had stellar season in 2011, but even then he never looked unbeatable except against Nadal.

4. (10) J Del Potro defeats (16) A Dolgopolov 63 64
Dolgo needs maturity and stability in his game. Until then he will cause an odd upset, but no more.
