About next year. New kit, back to the old ways. I think Dalglish is starting something special. He has one the Carling Cup more times than anyone and he only went and won it again in his first full season back. He took us to another final in the same year! Shame not to win, but we were there. Obviously the league form has not been up to scratch but every side that has dominated for a decade or more, by this recently I'm thinking Man Utd, started their trophy haul with the Carling Cup... could be the beginning of a trophy rich few years?
We have a younger squad than recent times, we have a lot of potential in the youth and reserves. After the performance against Chelsea and last seasons Dalglish reign 's performances there is obviously that ability to dominate games and win convincingly. The woodwork has certainly denied us the points that we deserved this year. BUT what has happened has happened now so we can only look to the future.
What I do find frustrating and hard to understand is how differently we played in the last game compared to the rest of the season - players in the box, supporting the player on the ball. The two things lacked all year and right at the end we go and do what we have been saying for months. If the players can get the mindset of 'we have nothing to lose now' in their heads for every game we will be laughing.
I'm feeling optimistic, I'm excited about the transfer window and buzzing for channel 5!!!
Feeling Good

Just need to make sure Micky Quinn doesn't start his 'Liverpool are gonna win the league' claptrap....

Na I don't think we will win the league but I obviously wouldn't say it can't happen... only a sith deals in absolutes ha ha.. What I'm saying is if Dalglish is still the manager next year and beyond I can see good things for us. The old ideals etc. The first step in a new direction is normally a hesitant one. The next might be, and I think it will be, more assured.

I wish I shared your views on that Matt. I can't see us progressing with Dalglish in charge and the mistakes he has continued to make. I'd love nothing more than to be wrong though.

Yea I of course have my doubts too, based on his apparent lack of tactical knowledge - the players in the box and supporting men on the ball being primary in my mind. But he would be the ideal candidate to lead Liverpool back to the top. This may have been a learning season for the players and the management. Only time will tell my friend.

I made a comment last year saying how wonderful it was that the club had no problems, no bad injuries, no bad owners, Kenny was back , blah, blah blah ..........
then Evra/Suarez happened .....
So I'm saying nothing
