So Fergie has spoken out again at what a good manager AM is, and that he did a great job in keeping Villa in the premiership this season.
Yes we lost two of our better players last summer, but we didnt become a bad club overnight. We have some good players at Villa, and the value of our squad well exceeds any of the clubs below Liverpool.
Given, Bent, N'Zogbia, Ireland, Delph, Mckoun are not cheap players, put simply they have not been utilized effectively. Im fed up with people making excuses for our poor season.
Yes he has had to play some youth, but we have some good youth in Clarke and Herd. Albrighton and Bannan had a shocking season having been stars last season - you have to question why is that? Its the managers job to coach and motivate players.

He got chased out the door at rangers because of his boring tactics, however he did take them the furthest in the champions league while cost cutting and working with a fraction of a budget of the previous managers

Good job keeping Villa up this season? That equates us to Wolves, Blackburn and Bolton. We were 9th last season and would have done better except for the catastrophe at the start of the season. Even after losing Young and Downing we should have been top half this season.
Fact: the team was almost always sent out not too lose. So we had boring draws, and few points. That's McLeish. He nearly sank us.

Bents injuries didn't held. Last season you had A.Young and Downing. Not long before that you lost Milner and Barry.
Your club is exactly where you'd expect it to be looking at your side most of the season.
