Golf - A reflection

Played in a golf day at a very posh Midlands club - was just about to play, when a spotty Nigel came running up to tell me that "this is what happens when you let all and sundry play here - your ball is in front of the tee marker".

The watching audience collapsed into hysteria when I told him "this is not my first f......g shot"!

Whats the worst shot you've ever done in golf?

I once hit my face instead of the ball.

I still claim it doesn't count as a stroke.

If however you "addresesd" the ball (& grounded your club) I'm afraid it does count as a stroke!

I once did an air shot and missed it by 3 feet! I basically did my normal swing but stood up straight half way through. Strangest thing I've ever seen.

I was playing with a friend once who took a driver off the first tee in front of a dozen or so people. He used one of those huge silver castle tees (the pink ones weren't yet manufactured), and when he took his shot, he only hit the tee. The tee flew miles, but the ball just dropped straight down. He got so many laughs!

If he were my doubles partner, I'd hit him in the face ! ! !

I once saw this man teaching his wife how to play a shot out of the bunker, and by doing so he managed to connect with the ball fully, flew over our heads on the teebox close to the green and went onto the car park and managed to bounce twice and hit his own car
