Ok serious debate, weve gone up and been very good since DJ took over.
But we are going to have to strengthen a lot to get to Championship level, so how many signings do you think we will need ?
I think we will need at least 8, not including Antonio who we are apparently already trying to make perm.
I would think 2 defenders, 3 midfilders, 2 forwards and a.n other.
Whats your opinions?
Next Year - How many do we need ?

Wouldnt go for miller to be fair, hardly prolific having only amassed 19 career goals in 149 appearences and injury prone too, nah not for me

Not sure if we'll get as many as 6 'first teamers' in the summer. Perhaps we'll do a small amount of business in the summer, I've said previously a couple of good buys is all we need for starters combined with some savvy loan signings to take us up to Christmas.
Personally, I would like to see us get someone to compliment Semedo, that foil he needs, and I want to see a full blooded left winger and a left back brought in. If we can nab a decent striker then would have to like that too - I think Madine will be OK at Championship level but will need a good partner on a regular basis. Agree with Poite re;Miller-NO.
I am sure that MM and DJ will look at what additional players we may need in January. UTO

On the topic of dreaming,
'The Championship, brought to you by DJ Milan & the MASSIVE loan Ranger's GIANT Madine Gun- Reloaded!!! (U13348) ',
I had the best dream ever this morning. I'm high up in a football ground, its a bit weird with about 200 Wednesday fans, its so high up that you can only just make out the goal. It's kick off and Barcelona are all over us for 20 minutes, its tense, Im wondering where all the other Wednesday fans are. Suddenly I'm at goal level with a load of spanish stewards telling to stay in the tunnel, Sedloski (I vividly remeber it on the shirt) picks up the ball. plays it long towards Madine who heads it down to Neil mellor 30 yards out and bang, into the top corner! I run out onto the pitch and there's a pitch invasion by about 5,000 Wednesday fans who were there all along, they're all f'ing bouncing in the nou camp.
Then I woke up and have no idea of the ending.

Oh and back on topic I think we need to re-sign the retired injured Neil Mellor and probably take a punt at the retired (presumably) 40 year old Goce Sedloski.
Seriously though,I think we need a striker, another CM, Antonio, Bathh and maybe another 3-4 proven champ quality players, especially if we're serious about pushing on.

I really don't get the argument for needing a LB, other than for backup. Reda has been an absolute mountain this season. I'd hang my hat on him being a star next season.

But who will go ?, and will we get any bunce for them ?

Not sure why we need a new LB, as above Reda will be fine in the champ.
Getting Batth and Antonio will be key IMO - as mentioned before, not too much else needs to change – the basis of the squad is ok. 2 more strikers, one to to play along side Madine, another pair of decent midfielders and someone who can play out wide in stead of JJ (retain as an impact player).
The defense looks ok (I never though I'd ever type these words!) and there is plenty of cover.
The squad is quite baggy, trimming it will free up more funds to bring in some decent Champ players.
To go:
Otsemobor
Dan Jones
Julian Bennett
Chris Sedgewick
Mike Jones
Clinton Morrison
Giles Coke
Aaron Jameson
Possibly Lowe and O'Grady (just not sure if they are Champ standard)
Can't decide about Reynolds - never had a chance IMO and only played when we were really awful in the dark days of the the early Meggo matches. Could be worth hanging on to TBH

What we need is a backroom staff like Man City , they've got more than watch "The Voice", there's f'king Hundreds of 'em.

Earlsfield is pretty spot on I think. Only difference is I'd keep Lowe who I think is a natural goalscorer and will do well off the bench. If (and it's a very big "if" we can get Antonio and Batth we'll pretty much already have have the first team with what we finished with.
I think Treacy could have a part to play too (great left foot) and I personally like Ranger although I don't think we'll keep him at the wage level. Don't see Prutton having a part to play. In all we need 6 players and it will be 8 if we don't keep Batth and Antonio.
So lot's to do!
Line up with back-up's in parentheses below:
1. Bywater (Weaver)
2. Buxton (new)
3. Reda Johnson (Reynolds)
4. Llera (R Jones)
5. Batth (Beevers)
6. Semedo (new)
7. Lines (new)
8. Antonio (J Johnson)
9. Madine (Lowe)
10.New (new)
11. Treacy (new)
