chippy dinner for thought

The word 'cursed' has been thrown around this season like a grumpy baby's food, and there is more than enough evidence to support this. Maybe this God fella Coyle loves and trusts so much just hates us.

Holden gets injured by mediocre defender Evans. Doesn't play barre one carling cup match to this day.
But a year later Evans becomes a very good CB and, considering Vidic's injury, the best at United.

Coyle organises a friendly against a team of builders and alcoholics. Unfortunately for us, one inebriated artisan, fuelled by the hatred of a multicultural society, more or less pulls out a rifle and shoots second best player and the one condolence for Holden's injury, Chung Yong lee, in the leg. Has made appearances in last two games but still has flashbacks to the day and cannot compete to the same level.

Another thing that should be looked at is Wheaters injury. In my eyes, Wheater is solid as Pique, Puyol and a house combined with the calm head of the Dalai-Lama compared to local chicken/decapitation survivor Zat Knight.

Who else reckons we wouldn't have conceded 2 against West Brom if he stayed on?

And Stokes first 'goal'. Zat Knight looked like Abe Simpson being awoken when Walters got in behind him. Was too slow for their penalty as well.

So yes. We have been very unfortunate. Maybe we are cursed. Maybe we are just unlucky. Maybe it's the illuminati. Maybe it's because I lost my lucky cap.

Maybe we are just straight up abysmal and if our manager stopped asking that God bloke for help and read the Barclays Premier League Manager handbook then we wouldn't get taught a lesson week in week out.

But don't get me wrong. If you are reading this, Chris Foy, I will find you.

Given that the whole Christian God thing hasn't worked out too well for Owen, do you think we should try and get him try a different religion?

I've got a spare few tea-towels he can borrow.

Or maybe it's not the religion thing at all.

He doesn't drink, does he?

Perhaps we should encourage him to get on the old Buckfast before every game......

And lets face it, his lucky shorts and sweatshirt ensemble hasn't really delivered either, has it?

So that's it then. Pot towel on his head, bottle of Buckie in his hand and a proper nice suit from Talibs is what I expect from now on.

Why does he insist on wearing a footy kit at games? Maybe the layeres mistook him for a fellow player and passed to him too often..its a thought.

I want a manager to look and dress differently to the players at games. It looks smarter and and more professional in my book. I know Im nitpicking but its true.

He might have to dust off his boots next season...

God Botherers should be priests, not football managers. that way, the tactical team talks can focus on the job in hand each game, rather than " C'mon .... Who put the foreign coin in the changing room swear box? "

Sam Ricketts says he has a match day ritual which he won't change.

I bet most of us do

Well ... I guess if he insisted on wearin' a French General's battle attire, or a nun's habit an' a studded dog collar, we might think he was a bit weird....
