The lunatics have taken over the Asylum

Bizarre outburst from Craig Whyte in yesterday's Herald.

He claims that Rangers will 'not be blamed for Scotland's sectarianism'.

I suppose it's good that he at least accepts that there is sectarianism. He says that Rangers will 'not be knocked around by...other across the city'. I'm not sure what he means by that.

The best one is that his new lapdog, Jack Irvine (apparently his business specialises in 'crisis management' so you can see why he would be involved at Ibrox) states "I have a message for those who would denigrate Rangers: if you stop telling lies about us, we'll stop telling the truth about you."

This sounds like the sort of argument my wife would use and she's an absolute roaster!

A few questions for Mr Irvine -

*who are these people who are 'telling lies' about Rangers?

*what lies have they been tellling?

*what do you think their objectives are....surely you're not suggesting there is some sort of conspiracy?

*why would you ever want to stop telling the truth about 'them' even if they did stop telling lies about you?

Rangers fans...be concerned. These guys have some new mates in the press..in the Herald they are mixing in better circles than the 'old brigade'....but you can't just keep talking rubbish and hope nobody notices.

If Whyte does have money he can afford a better class of PR.

Celtic accept that they have an Irish narrative throughout their history. Dados, if Rangers did not stand for anything then why did they have a strict policy of not signing Catholics?

Henrik and Hector,

There is one thing condemning when your rivals do something and yes i did condemn the Celtic fans when they supposedly threw coins but on the same note, i condemned Manchester, bomb threats, attacks on Lennon.

I do not fall in the trap of thinking that one set of supporters is worse than the other. It is a minority of fans who are thick, they also happen to be the fans that shout loudest.

its about time your Club started addressing there own problems instead of pointing the finger across at us. Thats what sticks in my craw, Celtic fans in denial. Dont care about who rioted where or which fan jumped on the pitch, i care that there are level minded people pedaling the myth that all of one set of supporters are.... Bigots. This goes both ways.

Dos,

You don't know the history of your own club...In the early 1900's, Rangers were seen by Ulster Protestant ship workers, who had migrated to Glasgow, as a Protestant stronghold and then enveloped your club with their hatred. To this day

Really, it goes both ways...GENIUS!

Thanks for pointing that out brainbox!

Forever getting on your soapbox preaching how bad us Celtic fans are at highlighting the failings of Rangers then admitting you do exactly the same...

Heid the baw!

Another smokescreen created to turn their fans heads, as to why this war chest isn't being opened....

Yoo Hoo...It's me, Aunty May again

I accept the faults of my own club, Chaddams. I was frankly embarrassed at the Poppy Protest by a minority of supporters. I am not having a go at the Rangers support. I am having a go at Craig Whyte. This man is a crucial figure in representing Rangers Football Club. He should have said that he was dealing with the sectarian problem and not deny its existence. We all know that Celtic and Rangers have a sectarian problem, so frankly denying they do is just embarrassing.
