Hello, Leeds fan here.
Manchester City's League One play-off final win over Gillingham in 1999 and final day Premier League win over QPR yesterday bear many similarities. The final game of a long season, two late goals, absolute delirium at the end. My question is which of the two did City fans enjoy the most? Probably a stupid question as the latter game is still fresh in everyone's mind, but I would appreciate people's opinions and stories.

GILLINGHAM OR QPR?

If we could "do a Newcastle" I'd be more than happy with that! x

I think Leeds are capable of that, and I'd like you lot to back up top, so long as it's not at the expense of City Peacock Dreams

YES THEY CERTAINLY DID..
A fire drill took place at the end of both these games and the fickle Bertie Magoos left yet again, in droves without knowing or caring of the final result on both occasions.

I'll always remember the Gillingham game as the one in which I 'caught the bug'. Had only been to my first City game a couple of months earlier at home to Notts County, but seeing the reaction of my old man, grandad, and everyone else in the pub we watched it in, what it meant to them all, that's when City hooked me in.
But yesterday, now I'm older and have a decent understanding of football, yesterday has to be the one for me. To go from a feeling of such sheer frustration/disappointment/self pity, to pure ecstasy in the space of what, two minutes, and to actually be physically there, that's the one for me. Had I been a bit older in 1999 maybe it would be harder to choose, and obviously if we hadn't have won that game who knows where we'd be now, certainly doubt we'd have the Premier League trophy in our cabinet though.
