When Simon Grayson was manager, the coverage of Leeds United was such that the YEP was viewed by many as Bates propaganda.
Since Grayson was sacked it has started having sly digs at Bates, so it must have been Grayson propaganda.
The YEP was defending the farcical things that went on under Grayson. Now he's gone, it's looking for anything to complain about.
Gary Walker's column is pathetic. It's basically the same every week, with him complaining about the lack of money spent in the past and demanding that more money is spent this summer.
Last week he suggested that Warnock could walk out and take the Wolves job. This week, despite it only being the middle of May and half a million having been spent on the kind of player we've needed for the last two years, Gary Walker has decided to complain about the lack of signings so far.

What's the point of pathetic, farcical journalism like this?
You have to wonder what the YEP's agenda is when they supported a manager who created negativity, then try to perpetuate a negative atmosphere when a good manager has been appointed.

The tipping point was Grayson been sacked?
You were all calling for his head! I was one of the few that weren't! If he was to be sacked it had to be done at Christmas so Warnock had the window.

I weren't calling for Graysons head, you must have mixed me up with someone else. I was furious when he was sacked.

And yet you acknowledge that he was poor and Warnock is much better.
You're warped, Marko.

I acknowledge that he PROBABLY wasn't going to take us MUCH FURTHER. I never said he was poor. I think Warnock is better.
But I also never claimed that I thought Grayson was the only problem that is now fixed - clearly not the case as we're still showing signs of faffing about in the transfer market.
You've got an unhealthy obsession, Clive. It's time to let go. Grayson is now nearly 4 months gone, and you haven't dropped it.

Are you Gary Walker?
We signed a highly rated player to fill a problem position almost as soon as the season was over.
Grayson showed no signs of even attempting to sign a player like Pearce, he could have signed him last summer but went for O'Dea on loan instead.
Why are you claiming that people are upset that Grayson was sacked when you acknowledge that Warnock is better?
This article is about Gary Walker and the YEP, it's everyone else who's turning it into a discussion about Grayson.

It's about time the YEP recognised the general feeling amongst the Leeds United fans. I wanted Grayson sacked because he'd run out of ideas. I didn't want Warnock but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt until he has his own players in situ (lets face it the run in was appalling).
My issue with the YEP was that it never challenged the ER hierarchy, never questionned the strategy simply spouted the nonsense that Bates, Harvey and unfortunately, Lorimer pushed in their direction.
You need an impartial paper to question not be subserviant. I agree some of the stuff is still repetitive and probably a few months behind the rest of us but its a start.
They also need to get rid of Postman Bren and his black and white tosh. He says absolutely nothing of any relevance and as for being referred to as a legend, its an insult to those players who were genuine legends such as Giles, Bremner and Hunter.

no this is another cheap shot at Grayson by you, because you're pathetic and you have an obsession.
One good signing doesn't mean all our problems are solved. Warnock's "pot" is still limited by bates ****ing millions away in legal fees. Was that Graysons fault? No. Shut your mouth Clive, nobody's interested in your pathetic obsession.
