This is the player that Wenger should be chasing....a competent CB and DM, a player we badly needed last season. For 14m we can have cover for both positions.
I used to be a fan Verthoghen but he seem to be weak at CB . I dont see us getting Sakho from PSG as they have been bought by the Qatari's... who have plenty of money to burn and wont need to sale to anyone. As a matter of fact PSG are chasing all the big names in Ligue 1 including Capoue.

IMO we need players who have experience at playing at the top level in the PL.
We have as many young prospects you could throw a stick at.

We have the unspent £30m from last season, coupled with a cash reserve of around £130m and a further £50m allocated in our accounts as ‘other.’
I appreciate that that club are not going to blow the entire cash reserve on squad development but in short there is now sufficient funds available.
The question is whether AW or Gazidis feel that the players they have highlighted are worth the amount being asked for by their clubs.

I agree there is money, but i dont see Wenger spending the 25-30m needed on single player, we cant keep even keep our best players because we have blown our wages on mediocre players....
There is something not right at Arsenal.
