I am in search of a new car. I would like to get one around £10,000-£15,000. A small family car, bit like the Golf. I've been requesting brochures all morning but need advice.
I've looked at whatcar.co.uk and that's good and stuff but I wanna know what you lot think. What's a good car for me?

If you want a cheap, decent car... forget anything european.
the far eastern market has some great cars, many built on the chassis' of european cars (eg mazda have a deal with ford and use their chassis, running gear etc, usually before ford do themselves) for a fraction of the price of their european counterparts.
The only european cars worth their money are skoda and possibly seat... because they're both volkswagons but cheaper.
But like i said before, try a kia cee'd... take one for a test drive. I was frankly amazed when i drove a colleague's one.

THIS is congestion-charge free too! If you get the twin-air. An awesome investment.
