Dzeko for RVP

If City buy RVP then am pretty sure one of their strikers will be sold. I think we should request a straight swap for Dzeko + 15million pounds(or whatever price we can get)

Rather than losing RVP and the club not investing the money in another striker(Wenger will probably announce that Podolski is RVP's replacement), it will be great if we got Dzeko along with Podolski as our main strike force. I dont know how much Dzeko collects at City but am sure we could offer him regular football for slightly lower wages(or just give him whatever we had hoped to give RVP)

I belive this will work for us as I have a very strong feeling we might sell RVP and not use the funds generated to buy another world class striker, thereby confining ourselves to another trophyless season.

no thanks, if we were to get one of their strikers it has to be agurero or tevez

this will never happen

Dzeko is a good striker but he can be very inconsistent and when he has bad games, they are VERY bad games. I'm not sure tbh. Not that it matters, because it won't happen anyway.

"Dzeko + 15million is a great deal"

No it wouldn't, RVP is miles better than Dzeko, and Dzeko is a mercenary who would look for a way out of Arsenal as soon as 1 of the big boys came calling.

If RVP goes then I want £50M cash and that money put straight into Wenger's transfer kitty. No player exchange crap, just give Wenger the money to buy who he wants. That being said I don't want us to sell RVP at any price unless he actually hands in a transfer request.

We will get 35 million max for rvp, he is almost 29.

And we will spend 50 million this summer. Money from cl qualification.

Cavani or Llorente

I think Cavani is the only player comparable to RVP in terms of current ability who we could actually sign. The likes of Lavezzi, Giroud and Suarez (Matias, not DBTR) are good but not quite as good as RVP, or, in Lavezzi's case, are not the same kind of player.

Llorente is unrealistic due to Athletic's nature of only signing Basque players and therefore only selling their players whom they want to keep for huge sums. Plus any offer for Llorente would probably be matched and bettered by other teams.

I wouldn't mind someone like Giroud if we signed some real quality elsewhere, such as bringing in M'Vila, Vertonghen and Eriksen (although I'd like at least two anyway) but as a sole, direct replacement with no additional signings, I'm not so sure.

Dzeko is crap.

We can easily replace rvp, not even joking. But his 'replacement' can't be just one player. Think about it this way, rvp has scored 37 goals. We need to buy one, two or even three goal scorers who can get 37 goals between them. In my opinion, they would be Podolski, a striker and a central attacking midfielder.

But the problem with rvp leaving would be the same old 'one step forward, two steps back' scenario.

That's what I was alluding to in my penultimate paragraph, that multiple players could between them improve the squad if RVP left and we re-invested the cash.
