More like he opened the box to build his wardrobe and saw all the parts for a dining table. He's now making an okay-looking wardrobe about of all the bits.

"Not given a fair chance of promotion" - Do you mean the chance he had in 2008-09 where we came 9th? Maybe the chance he had in 2009-10 where we got hammered by Milwall? Maybe the chance he had in 2010-11 when the only thing that turned up from the club to Old Trafford was the t shirts?
I would say thats a "fair chance", hardly a Chelsea like situation where not winning the champions league is failure.
