I'm about as miffed as anyone else about the squad selection.
As far as I'm concerned, its club > country, but ill always support England no matter who is in charge and who is playing.
My point is, yeah we are all annoyed at the squad and who should be/shouldnt be involved but please - let's get behind them, slating acheives nothing. We can't do anything apart from back them, and who knows, maybe we might get out of the group stage, there's a lot less pressure on us now with people not hyping the team up.
Hodgson is known to get the best from players, so get behind him and the team and get drunk as monkeys at the Euro's!
If not, then let's ring for changes after the tournament!

Hope Rooney doesn't even play because we have lost the first 2 games.
England are worse to watch than the scousers.

I've just managed to think of a positive from such an awful squad, it will end up saving me money as now i will only have 3 trips to the boozer to cheer on England so it will save me money if nothing else.

I've always had mixed feelings about England.
On one hand: it's 'my team' when it comes to international football and there is a kind of magic about those summer football fests.
On the other hand: I'm not especially patriotic; the xenophobic element attached to the national team is an embarrassment; the rioting 'fans' trashing foreign cities (chanting things like "I'd rather be a ... than a Turk" over the years make me deeply ashamed; unfortunately it's hard to repress the tribal club instincts or to ignore the ABU element of the England support; England also seems to magnify all the things that are wrong and outdated in our understanding of football itself.
Generally, the pros have outweighed the cons. I've always cheered on England. Right now, I look at the same old faces who have let us down so many times, the probability of the same crude football, the presence of so many overpaid mediocrities and self-regarding boors, and it's hard to imagine myself summoning the will to care about their fortunes this summer.

I love England and i love my country, that's why i'm upset about the shambles of an England squad.
