Ok he doesn't excite as at first thought he was a Wednesday reject, but his scoring record from Midfield is impressive and there isn't a huge risk financially to the club, so why the moaning, he could turn out to be a brilliant bit of business....... I expect a high quality striker signing and a decent defender now...... Mark Ellis at Torquay has often been talked about

Brycey,
38 stated earlier "Clark is still here - that should have been the first and biggest warning sign - Peltier and Pilks have gone for much less than anyone thought they would have done - Deano put in lots of money over 18 months and it failed..bottom line"
So I don't know what you read into the above, but I reckon 38 is knocking Hoyle.

I will read the Pilks thread, I happen to agree with what 38 says above,
Hoyle has ploughed money into the club since he came, We are still in the same division, And without the publicity figure massaging our attendances have not really improved.
Pilks n Pelts will have left for far less than what we would all like them to have, common sense.
Deano maybe succesfull in the real world of business, But in the dodgy business of football the rules are different.

Brycey,
£3 million quid plus for Pelts & Pilks was a good piece of business for a couple of third division players.
Goal scoring strikers are like gold and CMS (98 goals in 210 games for Posh) only went to Brighton for a reported £3 million which makes our deal look more than par for the course.
To say we have not really improved is also being economical with the truth. The fact is we have seen "year on year" improvement since Hoyle and Clark got involved and the results prove it.

Year on year improvements, We are in the same division.
Year on year increase in expenditure to such an extent that it cant continue.
Personally Mirf i would prefer less expenditure and lower priced tickets over gimmicks and waffle.

Its not just here where negativity reigns, they are all falling on their swords on DATM too, pathetic.

My biggest concern is "I received the phone call about this move yesterday and things have moved fast." suggesting we have missed out on other targets in this position

Those who were negative during the season were told to wait until they were proven wrong once we got promotion, but we didn't. All of you rose tinted fans who like to ignore anything that blurs your dream vision of Town need to accep that you got things wrong and we failed last season due to horrible mismanagement. Now that people have realised this even more excuses are coming out, it's pretty sad.
Deano failed. Lee Clark failed. The players failed. Huddersfield Town FC failed. There's no hiding that. We've now lost 2 of our best players (so far) and have a job on to rebuild a squad. We also have to hope that after 2 years of mismanagement our manager has learnt his lessons and can actually do what is expected of him. Hardly cause for celebration at the minute is it?

TERRIER..
the majority of those with rose tinted speccs dont appear to travel..
it does not cost them in time or money..it is much easier to turn the radio off and be a "bit annoyed" than it is driving back a couple of hundred miles..
in lee clark i trust is easier to type than setting off early doors to far flung places..
i forgive them ...

The negativity on here is shocking.
You can see why so many clubs slump the season after defeat in the play-offs with so much pessimism about.
I don't care if it's Tommy Miller, Tommy Cooper, Major Tom or Tom Tom the piper's son. If they play in the blue and white then I'm going to get behind them.
Effing cheer up!
